Aurora Multimedia Debuts World’s First 4Kp60 over IP KVM Transceiver with Integrated ExtremeUSB(R) Extension Technology at InfoComm 2017

BURNABY, BC–(Marketwired – June 08, 2017) – Icron Technologies Corporation, a leader in USB and video extension technology, today announced that Aurora Multimedia Corporation, a leader in IP control systems and HD video distribution, will be featuring the new IPX-TC2 proAV IPBaseT® distribution system with embedded ExtremeUSB® extension technology from Icron at the InfoComm 2017 show in Orlando, Florida, June 14-16.

The IPX-TC2 is the latest solution from Aurora’s IPX series, streaming 4Kp60 4:4:4 HDR video over 10G fiber or copper networks with visually lossless compression and zero frame latency. Additionally, the IPX-TC2 features windowing/multi-viewer (up to 128), scaling, 16 x16 video wall, HDMI 2.0, and optional Dante® IP audio and ExtremeUSB 2.0 support.

A key differentiating feature of the IPX series is the concept of a transceiver unit that can be configured to either transmit or receive at the time of set-up, thus simplifying the installation process. When enabling the USB 2.0 option, customers will enjoy the benefits of the ExtremeUSB suite of features such as transparent USB extension, true plug and play (no software drivers) and compatibility with all major operating systems: Windows®, macOS™ and Linux®.

“Our award winning IPBaseT platform is a true game changer for proAV network applications,” said Paul Harris, CEO at Aurora Multimedia. “The IPX-TC2 is the world’s first 4Kp60 over IP KVM transceiver and when enabled with ExtremeUSB technology, the feature list is second to none.”

“Aurora has made a concentrated effort to package a comprehensive proAV-focused feature set into a flexible, easy-to-use single-box solution,” said Glenn Antonelli, Vice President of Marketing at Icron. “The innovative IPX-TC2 system with ExtremeUSB ensures Aurora’s customers will benefit from true 4Kp60 4:4:4 video with full USB 2.0 functionality over commercial off-the-shelf 10G switches.”

Aurora will have the complete IPX Series including the new IPX-TC2 with ExtremeUSB on display at InfoComm booth #2561 from June 14-16 at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) in Orlando.
