CIRCOR Receives Award from Electric Boat to Supply Block V Ball Valves to U.S. Navy

WARREN, Mass., May 21, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — CIRCOR International (NYSE: CIR) today announced that it was awarded six contracts totaling $18M to provide ball valves for Block V of the Virginia Class Submarine program. The six shipsets of valves will be delivered over the next three years. CIRCOR has supplied valves for the Virginia Class submarine since the program began over 20 years ago.
CIRCOR received this award following the U.S. Navy’s recent announcement of its largest shipbuilding contract ever, awarding a $22.2 billion contract to General Dynamics Electric Boat and Huntington Ingalls Industries’ Newport News Shipbuilding for nine Virginia-Class Block V attack submarines.“For over 30 years, we have had the privilege of providing America’s naval fleets with the highest quality fluid control technologies.
