Independent Bank Corporation Completes Private Placement of $40 Million in Subordinated Notes

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., May 27, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Independent Bank Corporation (NASDAQ: IBCP) (the “Company”), the holding company of Independent Bank, a Michigan-based community bank, announced today that it has completed the private placement of $40 million in fixed-to-floating rate subordinated notes due 2030 (the “Notes”).  The Notes have been structured to qualify as Tier 2 capital under bank regulatory guidelines, and the proceeds from the sale of the Notes will be utilized for general corporate purposes.
