Malacca Straits Acquisition Company Limited Announces Pricing of $125 Million Initial Public Offering

New York, New York, July 14, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Malacca Straits Acquisition Company Limited (the “Company”) announced today that it priced its initial public offering of 12,500,000 units at a price of $10.00 per unit. The units will be listed on The Nasdaq Capital Market and trade under the ticker symbol “MLACU” beginning July 15, 2020. Each unit consists of one Class A ordinary share of the Company and one-half of one warrant. Each whole warrant entitles the holder thereof to purchase one Class A ordinary share of the Company at a price of $11.50 per share. Only whole warrants are exercisable. Once the securities comprising the units begin separate trading, the Class A ordinary shares and warrants are expected to be listed on The Nasdaq Capital Market under the symbols “MLAC” and “MLACW,” respectively.The Company has granted the underwriters a 45-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,875,000 units at the initial public offering price to cover over-allotments, if any.The offering is expected to close on July 17, 2020, subject to customary closing conditions.BTIG, LLC is acting as the sole book running manager for the offering and I-Bankers Securities, Inc. is acting as co-manager for the offering.The offering is being made only by means of a prospectus.
