NEW YORK, Nov. 13, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — National General Holdings Corp. (Nasdaq:NGHC) (the “Company” or “National General”) today announced that it has commenced an underwritten public offering of 5,000,000 shares of its common stock. The Company has granted the underwriters in the common stock offering a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 750,000 shares of the common stock.

The Company expects to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes, including strategic acquisitions and to support its current and future policy writings.

The common stock of the Company is listed on the NASDAQ Global Market under the symbol “NGHC.”
