VEECO PROVIDES BUSINESS UPDATE RELATED TO COVID-19

PLAINVIEW, N.Y., March 31, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Veeco Instruments Inc. (NASDAQ: VECO) is providing a business update related to COVID-19 and a preliminary estimate of first quarter 2020 revenue. 
On March 17, 2020, we announced withdrawal of our guidance for the first quarter ending March 31, 2020 due to the possible disruption of operations for Veeco as well as our customers. We subsequently determined that our operations are considered part of the critical and essential infrastructure defined by applicable government agencies. Consequently, we are currently permitted and are endeavoring to maintain manufacturing and supply chain operations during these uncertain times.We expect revenue for the quarter ending March 31, 2020 to be between $100 million and $105 million.
